Stupid Seti Question - how many Satellites should be in my taskbar at one time???

When doing the setup I set maximum processes to one and cache size to 10. Does that mean it should only be one "satellite" (process) in my taskbar? Just want to confirm (right now I have two because computer was, I think, on the Fritz when I was setting it up.

Yeah, there should only be one. Exit both and then open one again.

There might be 2 if you use both SetiDriver and SetiSpy - although they would be different icons and would show up as different processes.

On an unrelated note, when I tried doing the install on my other Win98 computer it got hung up in the Dos screen right after I pressed "2" for existing account and entered my e-mail address. I got some error like "lookuphost does not exist" (or something like that - I have a terrible memory.) I'm going to bed now but hopefully you guys can post a reason as to why this would happen and I'll take care of it tomorrow.

When you enter your e-mail adress make sure that you type it exactly as you did the first time (casesensitive and all)

I did type it exactly...it seemed like a network/connection problem with SETI or wherever they go to verify the e-mail address. The internet was up, but that didn't work. Make sense?

I'd love to get my other machine going for at least the last few days I have it.

Some other users have reported the same problem lately. I believe most think is was just Berkeley. Try it again later and it should work.
