Stupid search bar cookies

Whenever I go to google or some website with a search bar it always saves my searches and places them in a slide down bar under the search engine bar. Is there any way to get rid of that? I know this sounds stupid, but it has become increasingly annoying to me since it covers the actual search button in many cases and clicking off to the side does not get rid of it. It becomes a problem when it gets more than two items in the list making it hard to search for something with similar wording. Anyone know what I am talking about? I also cannot tab down through it either making it even more useless and annoying. Please respond with any help on how to either get rid of it or make it forget the cookies (if that is what it is using).

Are you using Internet Explorer?

Tools --> Internet Options... --> Click on the Content tab --> Click the AutoComplete... button --> Then click the Clear Forms button and uncheck Use AutoComplete for forms.

Is this what you are looking for?

EDIT: Looked for the same thing in Mozilla and found it. Now that stupid bar is gone. Thanks a lot!
