If the head mob guys gave up Rooney and his son for Sullivan to kill, and if he ended there, "it's over", then why did Jude Law's character still come after him? Was he on his own, or was Nitti still wanting him dead?

If someone blew a vase and f-cked up your face, wouldn't you be kind of pissed and wanting revenge?

I think Jude Law's character was on his own... he wanted to pay back Tom Hanks for scarring his face...

Besides, he's not going to get in trouble for getting rid of Hanks for the mob guys...

That doesn't make sense to me. His lack of care for personal hygiene would seem to indicate he could have cared less about his physical appearance. Sure, scars all over his face are a stretch from long-ass grimy fingernails and baked bean teeth, but still.

I had the perception that the guy was simply dedicated. He wanted the photos of the death scene, and he would get them by any means necessary. He followed through with the death of that one man earlier in the movie, and he never wanted to leave a job undone (Mike).

hmm... this makes a lot of sense too... maybe he just wanted the death scene of Mike just like he did earlier in the movie when he killed the fat guy...
