Stupid recorder phone calls how to stop

I've been getting these record message from a phone number in Toronto on and off for about three weeks.

The message says something to the effect "This is not a marketing message, please push 9 or dial 1-866-275-3056....".

No identification of who is calling.
No reason give as to why they are calling.

I figured if I ignored it long enough that it would stop. Anyhoo today I finally decided to phone the dam number and tell then to go away.

So I call the number and get some lady. When she answers no mention is made of what company I'm calling. I then ask her who I'm calling. She has the balls to ask why. Ok this is when I loss it. I give her a peace of my mind. So she start to be an asshole and refuse to help me until I act civilized. WTF? So I hang up.

Ok so how do I find out who is calling me?

I know it's from Toronto as the number it's originating from is 416-###-####.

I wish Canada had a do not call list.

do a reverse lookup on the number

Well, if you give attitude no ones really gonna help.
Just call ur operator and block the #. or figure out what * # to dial to block a call.
You do have that down in the states dont u?

I think you can call telus and they have some sort of * feature to tell telus who is calling you.

I had some calls from a dude in china......... gave telus a call about unwanted calls and they tracked the guy down. end of calls

I get those, they call at night and when i get into work in the morning i have a damn spam recorded phone message. pisses me off to no end.

Neither number came up.

I'm not with telus. It's a cell phone. At least I have unlimited calling. I'm going to see if my cell can block certain numbers. If not I'm going to talk to my provider.
