Is there a way to download a Real Audio file to my drive and then record it to a CD. There a a couple of web pages that have speaker tapes that I would like to have and they use Real. I haven't tried anything yet because I don't know enough to try. Thanks Lynn

yes. there's this app called streambox vcr which does exactly that. but its illegal.
is it the software thats illegal or the recording of realplayer ? i don't have it so i can't read the ULA.
and if it's just the software you could output the sound to a tape player......
good luck

If I have permission from the people that own the web site to record the audio, how does using real make it illegel? I thought that I only had to get permission from the owner of the audio, not the people that happen to own the streaming software. Lynn

the DMCA , i beleve covers not just the audio it's self but the manner in which it's carried . sounds like a fine line for the ACLU to ponder.......
good luck
