stupid question

So I connected my gamecube to the 2405fpw composite connection and of course it doesn't have any speaker and hence, no sound.
What do I need to do to get the sound coming out of my computer speakers? The connection?

I use radeon 9700 pro and audigy 2zs if that's any help.
Again, I kow it's a stupid question, but I won't learn unless I ask.

does the Audigy 2ZS have RCA analog inputs? you can just connect the audio cables to those inputs, boot your computer, and then switch the monitor input over to the Video In (or component in, or whatever).

If not, you'll need to get an RCA to 1/8" mini (like a headphone jack) adapter (like this).

It shouldn't work any different with the 2405 than with any other monitor or TV. its just that unlike connecting to a TV, since there are no speakers on the 2405 you need to connect the cables to your soundcard inputs

The brand of your soundcard doesn't matter. You need a small adapter (composite audio to minijack) It's available at radioshack and it cost me around 5 bucks. The way it works is you plug the red and white sound cables that come from your gamecube to one end of the adapter, then you plug the other end to the input of your soundcard. It's the same jack that is used by your speakers, your headphones, etc.

And then you play.

PS: You may want to buy component cables for your gamecube ($29 at www.nintendostore.com. And yes, they're hideously overpriced. And no, you cannot get them cheaper anywhere else nor do any brick and mortar stores carry them) to get a decent image. You also want to press button B and keep it pressed after you boot your gamecube to enable progressive scan (even better picture). A question should pop up asking you if you want to use progressive scan, say yes and enjoy the game.

PPS: you may want to use the FPW2405 controls to increase sharpness (or decrease it if you like it blurry) and zoom in the image until there are no more black bars on the side.
