Stupid question: What's "Type: ORG" on your drivers license?

I was thinking blood type, but what would the R and G be for? Maybe it's for ORGan donor (but it isn't listed on the back like it's supposed to).

I'm sure I'm gonna get pointed at for this one.

And YES, I did at least 10 searches in google and got nothing. ;)

I think it is for organ donorship.

Some people would only allow certain types of donorship like corneas so there is line to specify what type of donorship is allowed.

Yes folks, please donate your corneas. I need a couple.

No corneas but I've got a retina and a couple inches of optical nerves I can spare ;)

Type: ORG identifies your drivers license as the original.

Type: COR means your drivers license has been corrected e.g. new address.

Type: DUP is issued when you report your license as lost or stolen.

If you eventually find the original, do not use it! If a Police Officer

checks, the DMV database will flag it as invalid.
