Stupid question: Mold on seasoned meat that is raw (white spots) + fire = ok to eat?

Mold??? On meat?

If it's that old, I wouldn't eat it.

If you cook it, it will be edible.. but I would imagine the taste would be effected.

Most large hams I buy will have some mold on them. Its ok, just scrub it well prior to cooking.

I though seasoned meat was supposed to be moldy? just to be safe cut off all infected regions and cook thoroughly. If you die, I am sorry.

pre-glazed and smoked ham does have mold on it. How can you expect it to be mold free hanging in a smoke house covered in fats and sugar?
