Stupid Question: Is it possible to have a Athlon 1.333Ghz in a closed case?

Maybe it's because I have a crappy case but I couldn't even have my case cover on with my Celeron 450Mhz without it locking up because of overheating. I couldn't even imagine having my case covered with an Athlon 1.333Ghz.

Is there any real solution for me aside from getting a new case?

if your not going to overclock it would probably work out...just use a good hsf and thermal paste....maybe you could add an intake fan to the front of the case?....if you want a new case newegg was selling the enlight witha amd approved power supply one intake fan for 60 buck shipped

U could close the cover. Just have to improves the case cooling ie. adding intake & exhaust fans, better HSF w/ ASII, tied those cables in the case properly and things like.
