OK - for whatever reason I cannot remember how to control what starts in Win 95 - i.e., I have a bunch of programs that load when windows comes up and do not appear in the taskbar - I have to go to Task Manager and End Task on them. They aren't in the start folder, can't find them in .cfg or .bat files, or in the usual .ini files. Where are they being told to load and how do I make them stop?

In case anyone asks, they are not viruses, they are various stupid programs installed by some software and by my ISP (that are NOT necessary).

Help!

Thanks for the reply, DAM - msconfig brings up all the .ini files and such in the editor, right? (win.ini, autoexec.bat, etc....) if so then, yes I ran that last night and couldn't find anything that seemed to tell Win 95 which programs to start.
