We actually agreed on $15.
My neighbor was having a party and the people he invited drank more beer than he had.
Because he knows I always keep some drinks (eg beer) in stock he came to me instead of driving to the next store.

Well the question that still stands is, since you are both legally abiding adults and have purchased such quantities of alcohol before, how do you not know how much it costs? I mean, you DO look at prices when you buy things, right? This beer didn't just magically appear in your fridge did it?

I'm confused with amnesiac....."I bought this 12 pack of beer and my neighbor knows that I always keep beer in my fridge, but I don't know how much this beer cost that is in my fridge even though I buy enough beer that my neighbor knows I always have beer"

Maybe it's been a while since he bought it and he doesn't remember exactly what he paid for it! Geez...

Err..beer prices don't really fluctuate like RAM prices do, you know.

A 12-pack of beer now costs about the same as a 12-pack of beer cost a year ago.
