Stupid question: Do different parts of the body sweat differently?

Well, I was wondering, since certain parts of the body tend to stink more when you work out . . ..

Or maybe I should just wash my jocks once in a blue moon? :D

EDIT: One more question - now, I understand some body parts are more 'stanky' than others, but is it because of a larger concentration of sweat glands or is the chemical makeup of certain areas' sweat glands different?

If it's the case - then a third question: why?

Yes. Certain areas of the body produce more of a chemical called apocrine when they sweat. This chemical is eaten by certain bacteria, and the byproducts of this result in the "BO" odor. Now go take a bath :p

They do - at least because of where they are rather than a physiological reason. Your nether regions, for instance, will smell quickly - as will your arm pits - because in both areas you have skin that is continually against itself and cannot air out whereas your chest generally can.
