Stupid question concerning floppy disk formatting

I just bought some floppies today but didn't notice they said "Formatted for Macintosh" on the box. A floppy is just a floppy though isn't it? So I should be able to just reformat them for a PC right? Just wondering before I open them and can't take them back if I need to. Thanks guys.

yupe, the box only means that it's preformatted for mac. So if you use mac you don't need to format the disk before using them.

If you use PC than you need to format them.
