This is going to be a stupid question I know, but I have a desktop with a half-height 9600GT and a laptop with an 8400GS. The 8400GS I have overclocked and I notice there are 2D and 3D clocks, which is fine with me.
What I'm wondering is does the 9600GT also have a 2D clock mode? It appears to me this desktop never uses them if they exist. If they could be enabled, it would be great because being half-height in a slim machine means the graphics card is always putting out a lot of heat and the fan definitely runs faster than normal because the environment inside gets so warm. I've looked everywhere and searched the internet and it doesn't look like it does, but I thought I would ask here.
Both the desktop and laptop runs Windows 7 64-bit. The laptop is a C2D platform whereas the desktop is an older Athlon X2 (Socket AM2) system.
