Stupid Q of the day: how do you put on a car badge?

I ordered a school car badge/emblem. How does one go about throwing one of these things on the car? is there a special type of adhesive or tape?

3M VHB tape works pretty well. It's available at most hardware stores. It's the red stuff in the stores.

Lay emblem on tape. Use exacto knife to cut around the letters, then peel and affix. Make sure the paint is clean before you put it on.

I believe this would be the right thing to use. The stuff with the red plastic over it is the black butyl rubber style stuff, right?

I would avoid the cheaper foam tape (3m makes some of that, too).

Agree, the red backed 3m tape is the way to go. I would probably undercut the tape a little bit, just so it's hidden.
