I installed Win2K on an XP machine. Everything went as planned, the drive was formatted and win2k installed just fine. At load up I am confronted with the choice to start win2k or XP home. XP is not on this system anymore. How do I get the XP choice off?

Thanks

Take a look at c:\boot.ini You should find the entry for the XP boot option in there. Just back it up first in case you screw it up... ;)

There probably is one, its just hidden. Make sure you turn the stupid "Hide files that you will need to access but we dont want you to see" option off ;)

One of the guys here at the office firgured it out. The file is "attrib'ed". I have no idea what this means, but it worked. I can see the boot.ini file and make the necessary edit.

Thanks for the help guys!
