Stupid Problem, Please help

Hi,
I just did a clean install on Win98 on my system. EVerything works fine, but when i press the tab key it changes applications, rather then switch fields in a form, for example.

How do I change this so that the TAB key changes fields within a form rather then switching applications?

You don't happen to be hitting ALT at the same time as tab do you? That can change programs in windows. Make sure the tab button isn't stuck down or something (once in a blue moon my number lock button gets stuck down, so its possible).
 
Hmmm it sounds like a simple keyboard problem. I've had very similar things happen to me on many different keyboards where the alt, ctrl or shift keys will get stuck on sometimes.

Just bang the 6 six keys kinda hard (3 on the left, 3 on the right) a few times and that clears it up.

If thats not the problem, i dont know. To my knowledge, you can't remap keys in Windoze without 3rd party software.

I did think of a stuck key, but none of them were stuck, but I just banged the keyboard around a bit 😉 and it seems to have done the trick.
