fricking bought the nforce2 zenith board. running XP.After awhile the sound goes slow fricking motion on me,. wtf is up with that. hafta shut down power off reboot in order to get back to normal what the hell

you do not provide very many details. but i assume you mean chaintech Nforce 2 mb.

Chaintech does not use the nforce 2 DSP, instead it realies on the c-media sound.

be sure to download and isntall the most current drivers for that,

also what OS are u running?

Oh yea that was the thing they did everyone flamed about taking out the DSP and used C-Media instead... Its a pretty bad decision but Chaintec is extremely good motherboard with an attractive design. If problem persist you can always get a new sound card =)

Try going into the sounds/multimedia section in control panel. There is some sort of "Advanced" tab or something of the sort that allows you to set the level of hardware acceleration for the sound card. Make sure it is set to full, instead of one tab short of that. For some reason Windows defaults at one tab short of full acceleration, at least with my Philips Acoustic Edge and my SB Live! Value.
