Stupid Pop-Ups

Aimster

Just freshly installed windows the other day so I had no popup blocker or anything. I go to msn.com and it keeps popping up this annoying ad that opens your CD-Rom. I kept closing it, but I guess I forgot and I put my leg down and I broke the damn thing. Bastards

enable pop-ups and go to msn.com. A stupid AD will appear that says "Did your CD-ROM just open .. you have spyware"

lol this reminds me of a funny story. I was downloading some songs off of kazaa when all of a sudden my laptop shut down. I turned it back on and got an error screen that daid that I had a virus and it had to remove it. After the removal, I discovered much to my joy that my operating system had removed the virus, msn, and INTERNET EXPLORER! HAHAHA I HAVE RID MYSELF OF ALL POP UPS! BOW DOWN TO ME!

I'm guessing you didn't bother with SP2? If you insist on using IE, at least SP2 will add a pop up blocker. Even better, you could just install Firefox...just don't tell FelixDaCat. 😉

You HAVE spyware, no0b. No one else is getting the ad but you. Slipstream SP2 into your install media, reformat, reload on an isolated network. Thank you for playing.

Edit - Reread your OP. If you are that dumb that you broke your CD tray, sell your PC and buy a Mac. 😛

How the hell am I a noob? I just installed windows XP and you expect me to install SP2 while I was on a dial up for the last week? I think not.
I do not see how buying a mac has anything to do with breaking a CD tray.

Find a friend (You do have ONE, right?) with broadband and have him/her download the network install. Takes them all of maybe a half-hour.

You're too stupid to own a real computer, please go buy a toy one.

Might want to dl ad-aware and spybot asap since they are not that big for even dial ups and help alot.

Do you have any kind of antivirus?

They can help with the pop ups if you have some of the newer versions.

Search for "schadenfroh", he's a user with a link to his guide on fighting spyware in his signature. You obviously have some. Can't believe I'm answering a known troll, and in the wrong forum no less 🙁

Just remember, fire and acid kills trolls once you knocked them out 😛
