Stupid people in my dorm...

...are so damn loud, they woke me up after only an hour and a half of sleep and I can't get back to sleep. One guy's running down the hall shouting "everybody get your roll on", another girl's just screaming "ahhhh" and some other guy has his AIM sounds turned all the way up so I can hear everytime he sends and receives a message. It's 1:50AM and finals start tommorow (for some, not me), it should be quiet in our hall!

At Ga Tech, it was tradition to open your window at midnight and scream as loud as you could at finals time. It'd be pretty cool. You'd just hear random screams from all sorts of directions. Then you'd step back into reality and realize that re-mag was a definite possibility.

Every hour I think the girls upstairs from me are going to come crashing through the ceiling. I have no idea how somebody can stomp and jump around so much. It's going to stop tomorrow. 24 hours quiet started on tuesday, if they don't stop when I tell them to, I can get the RA and they get a fine. I don't mind loud people (before 2 am, after 2 stfu!), but I hate thumping and banging.

Actually I never go to sleep this early, my normal time for sleep is around 3-4am. It's just that last night I was up to about 6am, and I was trying to catch up on some missed sleep.

I agree... speaking of which, everyone in my building and the people across the courtyard just started screaming! WTF??? :|:|:| Now they won't shut up. We have 24 hour "quiet hours" during the next week and a half. :|:|:|

Oh, now they're chanting "Finals suck! Finals suck!"

Anyway, I feel for ya. The people in the room next door have a subwoofer the size of a small refrigerator and have no problem leaving it on at 3 in the morning. :| Even when the volume is turned waaaaaaaaay down, there's still that little thumping pentrating the non-insulated wall. :|

At our dorms they put 24 hour quiet hours into effect. A single complaint or noise and you get written up. It sucks but I guess it makes it better for studying for finals. I'm just glad I dont live in the dorms any more. I love living off campus in my apartment.

Ah man, I remember when I lived in the dorms. As soon as finals week rolled around, I would go sh!t crazt. Up ALL night for a week and pulling crazy pranks. Dude, enjoy this while you can. These times won't be around forever. You'll miss them when they are gone.

They had one somewhere in September, before the terrorist attacks, over at my Uni in Michigan. 100+ students out of 5000 were busted and sent out packing from their dorms.

when i lived at the dorms freshman year at UCI, during finals week, at midnight everyone would just scream their loudest to let out all their frustration. and at the other housing complex, mesa court, ppl would run naked outside to let out even more frustration. hehe. this was 2 years ago since i last lived in the dorms.

I don't go to sleep early (or even late for that matter ) but it still annoys me when people outside are screaming at the top of their lungs at 3AM. 2 Days ago someone was whistling christmas songs as loud as possible at exactly 5:20AM. I'm surprised it doesn't annoy my roommate (Moose) who goes to bed at like 11-12 every night (except today).

I'm not too sure about it, I lived along the road where everything started. People got drunk, girls started flashing and guys started climbing telephone poles while others were trying to do some chin ups on telephone cables 12 above ground. It's amazing what alcohol can do to you. Police had to use TEAR GAS to disperse the crowd. I had a sh*tload of those gas in my room as I forgot to close my windows when I went out to take a glimpse of the sorority girls flashing.

I had a campus-wide quiet period during reading week so anything like loud music, running through the halls making noise, etc. was grounds for being written up. There really should be some measure of decency during exam times, seriously.

At my school during finals week we have quiet hours. But during those quiet hours we have occasional "noisy minutes" where we go outside and break sh!t.

I've got an old printer that's just begging for me to go Office Space on it.

Oh, I don't know. Even when I want to get some sleep, I don't ask people to be quiet. After all, sometimes I like to be loud and so it wouldn't feel right to ask others to be quiet. It is college after all

i had these guys next to me who would be quiet until 4 am every night, at which point they would turn on the techno and start playing loud thumpy music while frying eggs. damn they were annoying. and of course they didn't wake up until like 2 in the afternoon.

sometimes I can sleep very well even people turn their volume way up there. But anyway, it's so good that I live in apartment now as a college freshman, San Jose dorm sucks all the time. Nothing good being in the silicon valley. O yea, there won't be as fun as the people who live in dorm because they got party all nights long.
