Stupid nVidia ads!

To quote the ad in my popular science:

"Equip your PC with the power of NVIDIA GeForce FX.

Whether you're storming Omaha Beach in the PC game BattleField 1942 or fighting in the hills of Italy in the expansion pack, Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome, you'll want to properly equip yourself with a Sherman tank, a bayonet... and the new NVIDIA GeForce FX graphics processing unit. Why? Because the mind blowing graphics and the intense campaigns in this "2002 Game of the Year" winner will bring your PC to its knees unless you are armed with the blazing firepower and rock-solid compatibility of the NVIDIA GeForce FX.

Ask any gamer or game developer and they will tell you: All the greatest games are developed on NVIDIA, to be played on NVIDIA."

I really hate those ads. Totally pathetic. I know many see this and think they must get the GFFX, but seriously. Road to Rome is fuggin intense. Works on my Kyro II, but thats to be expected. I doubt this game would be "blazing" on the 5200. The 5600 I can see, but that isn't out yet (or at least I have yet to see it). And the 5800 will kill your ear-drums.

Hate these ads. I pity the people that see these and go out to buy a GeForce. They've been having this ad campaign for a while. Saying that select games will only work if you have an nVidia card. Yeah, nj! Ever hear of ATi? Currently owning your ass!

yeah, I mean marketing is basically everything. Everyone's naming system has become total sh!t lately.

But marketing advantages aside, I just hate these ads.

Edit: Oh yah, back before I subscribed, I hated those misplaced ATi banners that went vertically...It'd take up a whole page!!!

Yea, I do to....I was lying before. When I think about..those graphics buddies are pretty lazy too....and get to play games at work.....screw them guys, I don't like them or the adds now that I think about it.

Can I change my vote?

that was the MOST annoying ad ever

It wouldn't matter who's ad it is I would like to see all of the ads gone from games:| After all when I buy a game for $50 I don't want ADS!!! After all aren't the companies that the ads are for paying the software companies for those ads? Shouldn't that make the games less expensive?😕

no way! haven't you heard nvidia's FX series are the first video cards to deliver "cinematic computing to every user". Holy crap batman! That means I can be all l33t like that stupid swordfish movie. yay. Ever since gf2 nvidia has pushed these "cinematic computing" ads. I still have no clue what the application is supposed to be. I mean, what does "Everyone" get from gfFX that they wouldn't get from an 8mb trident card when they're using everyday office applications and the like. PHHPP. nonsense.

I for one won't buy another nvidia card until they come up with something substantive like agp 32X. 😉
