I'm new with this laptop stuff...
I was wondering--DO you need to purchase additional battery charger for your laptop battery? DO they charge itselves when you plug it (laptop power turned off)and leave it?
That's it.

Thanks in advance.

Just plug it in. There is no requirement for an extra charger.

Yes...the laptop has a built-in charger.

No you don't need to get a second battery. You may want to if you're going to need to do long periods of work on your laptop without an AC source.

If you do get an extra battery, you may want to invest in an extra external charger as well, so you can charge the extra battery and use your comp with the good battery at the same time.

If you consider yourself a "road warrior", or need more than 3 hours' worth of battery life away from a mains, then yes, you should purchase a second battery.

If you are simply going to have it plugged in at your desk all the time, then don't bother with the second battery.

One suggestion. Try not to leave it plugged into wall outlet all the time. This will eventually destroy your battery life when you actually want to use it. Oops! Only good for 45 minutes on a charge. I learned this from personal experience :(
