Stupid NForce and 5.1 audio question.

OK, the Klipsch 5.1 speakers are going for around $400 bucks . . . but for a little bit more, you can get a DD home theatre receiver and higher power speakers than what the Klipsch offers.

So is it possible to hook the NForce sound up to the digital input on a home theatre receiver? I know there's an RCA plug on the Asus A7N266-C's sound daughterboard; would that work? How would I need to hook my CD-ROM drive up to the sound card? Would the analong connector still work, because I don't see any digital hookups on the daughterboard, just analog.

Yep, thats what I did. Just hook up a regular cable from the digital out of the nforce to the coax-in of the receiver. You have the option of turning on both analog and digital outs of the nforce or just specifying one.

OK, another stupid question . . . (bear with me). You say "coax-in". But the digital out on the NForce is what I would call and RCA-type plug. All you basically need is a male-male RCA cable, right? Or something else?
