Stupid!!!! My raise isn't on today's check!!!

Unbelievable. Over 2 weeks ago, my manager was supposed to submit paperwork for my promotion so I'd get my raise.

I check my balance today and guess what? No raise! Which means she didn't turn in the paperwork in time.

I was needing that extra couple hundred... Grrr....

I've totally been in that situation. Simply ask her what happened, and explain that you were led to believe your raise would appear on this check. Ask her everyday until payroll cuts you a check for the difference or tells you they will get your previous 2 weeks of increased pay on the next check for an uber big check.

Sometimes its payroll that takes their sweet dandy time. Wait it out, the last thing you wanna do is make your manager think you are a greedy sob. Hopefully they have retroactive. Do you get overtime pay?

It took me a month to get a bonus once, and I didnt get it in a chunk but over another month. I still got the money though, so I was happy.

At least your not like me. While my raise is retroactive to July 1st (supposed to finally show up on next check) it is roughly equal to the increase in health care costs (which I have no option to change, either have them or not) so I actually make less money now, not including inflation. At least my difference is only a couple bucks a month, one of my coworkers is out 200+ per month.

I'm sure the boss will be thrilled to get hounded about it every day.

The couple hundred is after taxes on a two week check. At least, that's what my last 15% raise ended up being.

You better believe I'll be hounding her. I was sitting next to her on Monday when the director called her to tell her that she still hadn't turned in the paperwork and that if it wasn't in by Tuesday I wouldn't be getting my raise. She even had me write her a note to remind her!!!!

Our payroll has it that any changes to payday on Friday must be turned in by the previous Tuesday.

It stinks that your boss just didn't get around to it. Hopefully, it will be retroactive once it actually does get submitted and then you'll get a really big check.
