today i was sizing jeans at work (exciting, huh?!) and this fvcking marine recruiter comes up and starts talking to me about joining the military and how great it will be and im just like like "look, im too lazy to do be in it, im not interested anyway, and my boss is going to bitch at me for not working." but he would NOT leave me alone.. so finally i gave him my name and address and stuff, which was dumb.. i shoudlve made something up. but still. the government should be more respectful when people say no. another one bothered me when i was filling out a job application a while ago.

do they bug you all the time too?

Oh please, you probably didn't directly tell the guy "no", instead you beat around the bush - which is an open invitation to keep bugging you. YOu need to be direct, and from experience, most people aren't.

Anyway - go serve your country, maybe it'll toughen you up so you can fight the rats and centipieds in your house

Well... they wouldn't have to solicit the military if you'd VOLUNTEER. Since the goverment is nice enough to give you the option, isn't it kinda sad how they have to reduce to become another nuisance of your life, like a common door to door salesman. I personally think that every one should give at least two years of service to their country.

You should have told him that you needed to consult the voices in your head.

Then again that might have gotten you enrolled in the fast track program to becoming an assasin.

You could have just told him no, and not acted like a bitch about it all. People appreciate it when you don't waste their time.

Don't give them contact info unless they ask for it. They will contact you for sure if you do.

Yes, you, the big, bad, bitch.

I'm sure you were bad enough to scare the average recruiter away, but, for some reason all of the deaf recruiters keep on trying to recruit you. Geese, don't forget your capitol letters and proper grammar while you're at it.

Are you sure you can do it, kinda like you "stopped" talking to the recruiter?

lol, that would have been funny as hell.

Seriously, why the attitude about the military? If it had been someone offering you a job, you wouldn't have treated them the same. I hate when people literally spit on recruiters. If you said all that... you should have been firm, because in the end he got your info and will now nag you forever.

the attitude is because im not interested. and they dont listen. yeah, i admitted i was dumb for giving him the information, but i guess im not assertive enough for him to have left me alone otherwise. i guess i suck at life?

and yeah, if someone offered me a job that i already knew i didnt want, i wouldnt waste my time with it.

No, not anymore.

I have found that once you join up, do your time and get out they pretty much leave you alone.

Especially if you get out with-out being recommended for reenlistment. ;)
