I'd have my new LCD monitor today instead of tomorrow because of this punk holiday! :p

Just Kidding!!!

I am completely grateful to those who serve and have served in the military and especially those who have given their lives to maintain our freedom and the lifestyle we enjoy today. I salute each and every last one of them. God bless them all.

:)

P.S. The monitor can wait.

I'll hoist a tall  to my fallen comrades and pray for their eternal happiness.

You don't have to be religious to be thankful.

Oh, I was thinking, how do you think those GI's felt as they were boarding the landing craft prior to the landings at Normandy Beach, etc. How do you think they felt as the ramp fell and they stepped out into the water to wade ashore as the mortars, artillery and machine gun fire was flaming around them?

Peace and love.

You know exactly how they felt and thats why it brings a tear to my eye to think about it. And I agree, I don't need religion to thank these huge-hearted people who died for us.

I am thankful to be an American and those terrorist bastards will never take this from me.

Peace and love to all of the fallen heros.

Am I too emotional when I think about soldiers who have died for us and I feel like crying? I never cry but I want these people to know how much I appreciate what they sacrificed for.

I think people still take the freedom we have for granted. People 100 years from now wont enjoy the same freedoms we do.

Freedom isn't free. These people paid with their lives so you could be an internet troll, think about that!

I will always remember the story of my uncle, a purple-heart and congressional medal owner, he was a tank driver in Germany, his tank and all the tanks in his squadron got hit and he lived for 4 days inside that tank with everybody else dead.. he couldn't leave because he would've been captured. Can you imagine how bad that was? I very much doubt it. But this man did it and came back and lived out his life. He is not with us any more but I salute that effort. How many people do you know today that could actually do that?

And yet, there are thousands of brave stories like this and this is why I have the highest regard and respect for them today.

Sorry if this seems sappy but I mean this from the bottom of my heart.

God bless those that have died to make our lives worth living.

To friends who made it and to those who didn't. :wine::)

May those who come after be worthy of your sacrifice.

I toast them too...

I feel bad about some of my friends never coming back... and people think I am all about making jokes.

Why did they change it from Veteran's Day?

Being a veteran would suggest he lived. Memorial day is for remembrance of fallen heroes and thanks to all those who fought.

Here is another big thank you to those who fought or served for our country.
