Some of you may remember my thread from a WHILE ago about my brother buying that 1959 Ford Fairlane Galaxie 500.

Anyways recently he had the tranny rebuilt, anyways the fvcktard did two things wrong, first of all when he was filling the tranny fluid he had the car on, but in reverse and when it had enough fluid the tranny caught and flew out the back and hit a pontiac. A ton of damage was done to the pontiac and a fair bit to the ford. So he tells my bro and he says he will get it fixed no charge of course, my brother things thats reasonable and says ok. Next he says he'll take it in a week (ordering two back lights and a couple of other things)

So my brother and his friend are driving it around, and the car has trouble, they open the hood, and the FVCKING MECHANIC didnt connect 3 of the spark plugs! There was fire coming out of there.

Now my bro took it back there and the guy said he'll fix it and said sorry.

Here is what I think, I think the mechanic is taking my bro for a ride and trying to take his car from him. My bro is 18, and the mechanic probably thinks he's stupid, so is trying slowly to take his car, by little by little "wrecking it". His friend called me and told me the same thing.

Now should I go to the fvcking mechanic and threaten to sue is anything more goes wrong?

What should I do?

Why would he have any spark plugs loose if he only rebuilt the trans?

And no, I don't think he's trying to take the car. He's probably just dumb.
 
If he was running the car with the tranny in reverse with no tranny fluid, so much for the rebuilt tranny. Transmissions don't run real well, or long, without fluid.
 
Take the car to a different mechanic to get it fixed, one that you trust, and send the bill to the first mechanic. Make sure you tell the first mechanic that you are doing this first, if he doesn't agree to it sue the living shiat out of him.
 
DO NOT let him near it with a wrench anymore.

Take it to another mechanic, have him fix the other hack's mistakes, and then present him with the bill. Sue him if necessary.

Won't hurt anything but the pump to run it without fluid for the most part. The rest of the tranny is just sitting there unless there's some fluid being pumped for it to engage.
I wouldn't worry about that too much.

Won't hurt anything but the pump to run it without fluid for the most part. The rest of the tranny is just sitting there unless there's some fluid being pumped for it to engage.

I have seen alot of trannies blow a cooler line off. By the time people noticed the slipping it was always too late to save them. Happened more than a few times.

That's different than starting one up without fluid, which, since he supposedly rebuilt it, I assume he did.
But you're right, if it's already running and gets low on fluid, that can burn one up.

Hmm idiot that my bro is he already took it to that pos mechanic, and he's not listening to me, since the car is legally in my sisters name (for lower insurance) I'm gonna take her keys and go with her and tell him to stop touching it and do exactly what you told me to do.
