I thought ibm had got their act together with the 60gxp... I have two maxtor disks alredy and they have been working great. I got the 60gxp because it was cheaper (norway) and the shop had that drive in stock, and not the dm 60+. I got the drive today, and it came up in the bios without any trouble. Then I popped in my ghost diskette, and started copying from one of the maxtor disks. But well after 1 or 2 mintutes it stopped. And wouldn't go further. Then when I rebooted the system my bios told me that the harddrive wasn't working right. Downloaded the ibm diag program. And it found something. And gave me one failure number: 0X73 (Defective drive)
And some trc for rma
I didn't hear a click or something like that. I couldn't hear much at all actually. So now im going to wait even longer to get my new drive... sending it back tomorrow.
