I guess that's a downside to renting.. you're at his mercy if he ever wants to do any yard work..

He came in today and is "cleaning" the yard up, but they're doing way more than they need to.. for one, they cut down all the blackberries! Damnit. We've been harvesting them as they get ready..

They also cut down a big ornamental tree in the front yard, and are taking out a HUGE laurel bush in our back yard. WTF for?!

maybe he is worried about insects,"hiding" in the plants near the house?

i pay a mortgage,so i have to do my own yard work.

renting can be a real bummer at times.
so can paying a mortgage/taxes insurance/water,sewer bills,heat/electric/cooking gas,

etc. :(

Kinda.. just mentioned how it would be ugly.. and it will be.

Guess he just has the itch to fix the place up. It is pretty overgrown, we've lived here for 3+ years and nothing has ever been pruned or anything, lol.. but damn, they don't need to take the huge bushes in the back yard completely out.. that's terrible. They were really big, taller than the house and probably about as wide. The thing that sucks is it's going to open the back yard up and let the neighbors see in. :frown:

Apparently he's also going to clean the roof and paint the house, too.

Joy.

I doubt it.

It's already pretty expensive, 800$/mo for a 2 bedroom/1 bath

You're lucky. In Ann Arbor, in the area near campus (luckily, I don't live near campus), my three friends are paying $1800/mo. for a three bedroom apartment (actually, it's just the bottom floor of a house).
