Stupid lady, you had ME on hold!

So I'm working with this lady, & I've spent a half hour with her re-installing her DSL "modem" and communications. She has a customer there, & wants to work with them. OK, fine, I sit & wait for almost 10 minutes. When she got back, I'd decided I wanted to reset her gateway. I explained what I wanted to do, & asked if I could put her on hold. She said yes, but before I put her on hold I heard her muttering to herself "Well why didn't you do that while you were waiting?"

Well, duh, lady, you had ME on hold. If I'd put you on hold & you'd come back, you'd have thought I'd abandoned you.

Stupid, stupid people. I was nice enough to wait for her.

(2) right click on c: drive
(3) go to format
(4) left click on that
(5) FORMAT away...

i have no tolerance for people who are bleeps when you are honestly trying to help them. i'll put her on hold and hang up... oops... oh well.

Viper too bad you can't do what I do to get rid of pesky salescalls. I set up a voicemail box for a fictitious employee named &quot;Irv&quot;. Irv is anything from the President, CEO, IT Director, Purchasing Agent whatever. Whenever we get one of those pesky damn telemarketers the guy they really need to speak to is &quot;Irv&quot;.

Somedays ya just gotta love sending people to &quot;Voice Mail Hell&quot;

Fathom: That's pretty good. I may need to see about setting that up in our department (Legal) since we get some loons on the phone every once in awhile. The best ones are written though since you can just keep rereading when you need a laugh.

I don't know about you, but my queue has an extension. If someone wants me to hold or does this &quot;ok, let me put it back together and fire it up real quick&quot; thing, I transfer them to the queue so I can get the next call and they go to the back of the line.

Seems to be the same mentality as the people that call for an RMA number, but don't have a pen or pencil handy. :Q
