Almost gave me a bunch of coasters. Luckily I was using a CD-RW during my first burning session after installing my CUSL2. Uninstalled the crap and no more write errors! 😀

You can avoid the write errors by setting the maximum transfer mode to PIO mode 4 in the Storage Companion.

Oh, I can? I didn't bother to check out what crap got put into the Start Menu so I didn't know there was a companion there.... 😀

Oh well, back to installing the drivers and trying it again... and thanks for the tip, Andy.

Update:

Well, I reinstalled the drivers, set my burner to PIO-4, and still get the write errors. Anyway, I've got no problems without the drivers installed, so I just removed the crap and my burner is happily spinning away.
