Stupid IE question

How do I keep the unique icons for my favorites? Usually when I make a new bookmark I get a unique icon for that link, but I always end up losing it and it gets replaced with the generic "e" icon. Anyone know how to reverse that?

If I remember correctly, you have to:
  1. go into your Temporary Internet Files folder (in XP, it's C:\Documents and Settings\<user name goes here>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files) and
  2. manually copy and paste the icons you want to keep over to any other folder, such as My Documents.
  3. Then right click on the bookmark in your favorites and under the properties menu select "Change Icon."
  4. Browse to the folder in Step 2 and select the approptiate icon.
Hope that helps.
