Stupid Ice = Owned Mailboxes, Now With Pics of Damage.

Well, to say the least me = pissed right now. I was just starting to school going maybe 20 mph and I started sliding. What better place to slide into but the part with 4 mail boxes =/ I totally flattened two of them(one being plastic), another got a little dented, one seemed fine. Snapped a 4" x 4" wood post and scartched the sh1t out of 2 of my doors getting out. The only thing seemingly good about it is I'm skipping school tomorrow to go plant some more posts probably 🙁

The corner of the mail boxes scratched up my doors, other than that nothing really. I have these little bars on the bottom that broke the posts. They were right, most accidents do happen within a few miles of your home, in this case, 200 yards :x It was bad though, first thing that came to mind was "Fvck! I got to get out of here before anyone sees me!" That died quick though, i have teh common sense

How about we got 6 inches of snow, then it doesn't get plowed, so it's pretty much compact ice all over the road. Temperatures are like 5 degrees and now there's 4-6 inches of fine powder on the roads? =/

Well, anybody can have an accident, but obviously you did drive too fast for the conditions 🙁 Fresh snow = almost infinite braking distance. I'm not perfect but I've spent many years driving through snowy winters and have never even come close to an accident, because unlike most others I slow right the hell down.

Sounds like just about every Massachusetts February because we run out of money in the budget to plow... damn budget.

Yeah, it's my first and worst winter yet =/ I figured if I stayed under 30, let alone 20-25 I'd be fine, but I guess I've lived and learned.

BTW, think of it this way, atleast I left my name/number, no one saw it so I could go on my merry way like some people do.

Guess you learned thats not always right. If you don't have the experience driving at any speed in slippery conditions is bad news. People slip while walking on slippery sidewalks and roads. Why do some people think that just because they're in a 3000LB tin can, they can all of a sudden go 25MPH in safety?

*fixed coding*

It should be mandatory for people to live in Montana for at least 3 winters. They'll learn how to drive in snow/ice and actually experience what "cold" is. Though, then i'd just bitch about all the new people. No winning. 🙁

That's not what he wrote - he wrote "God Damn". And why is that so offensive?
It's against one of the 10 commandments.
MisterJackson didn't say it, v3rrv3 said it. So I would recommend that MisterJackson worry about what comes out of his keyboard, and not what comes out of v3rrv3's. MisterJackson won't go to hell for what v3rrv3 said.

Yeah, there's a certain 'feel' you gotta get to learn how to drive on snow. Relying only on your speed is meaningless. Hell, I was stopped at a stop sign and suddenly started sliding sideways. 0 mph isn't always safe.

No driving skill = owned truck!!!

Seriously though, when it snows here I slide every turn purposly, I can slide at 40+ mph and still have control.. You just cant drive
