Too bad it wasn't another 8 inches in towards the head.

Should have shot him in the head. Now he's going to get sued by the dumbass burglar.

I sure hope the homeowner doesn't have any charges filed against him. The story makes it seem like the shooting was justified.

Who the fuck is dumb enough to ask to be shot in Texas. Texans come out of the womb with a CC permit and choice of weapon.

I just cracked up at the picture of the stereotypical burglar in a ski mask in the window with the caption "thief"

Sandorski values his life. He would have run away from the burglar and let him take what he wanted.

North Richland Hills is in Texas.

Which, along with 20-something other states, grants civil immunity to those using deadly force for self defense.

At least he'd be alive! Though his 14 year old kid inside would be left to fend for himself.

I found it odd that this is Texas yet they're still examining to see if the owner (and the intruder) should have files charged against him (them). I thought they'd be throwin' him a party!

Any time there is a shooting they look into it, on both sides. Doesn't mean he will be charged. If the cops didn't cite him or arrest him on the spot, he will most likely get no-billed. The BG is shit out of luck in suing if the shooter is no-billed.
Only mistake the homeowner made was not killing the guy.

If he's protected under Texas castle doctrine then he's protected from civil suits as well.

This guy might not even go to a grand jury since no one was killed.

oh come now, I didn't get my first pistol until last week and I'm 22! lol, still working on the ccl, soon. But yeah, you can bet that quite a few 21+ males in Texas are going to have a gun.

Anyone who would break in to another person's home while they're inside deserves to be killed on the spot.
