Leaving tomorrow for a 5 night cruise to Bermuda on Royal Caribbean. Just checked the weather, and apparently there's a hurricane moving towards the island. I don't think it's going to cause any major problems as far as docking and going ashore go, but it's a downer on the vacation... I was really looking to soak up some sun.

According to WeatherUnderground, the bulk of it will happen Saturday-Monday, but there's a solid chance of leftover rain and nastiness for what looks like the rest of the week.

Recommend that you check the National Hurricane Center website before you have a cow. TROPICAL STORM Colin is not now expected to gain hurricane strength. The storm will affect the weather in Bermuda from approximately noon Saturday through noon Sunday, give or take a half-day.

Where are you departing from? It WILL take some time to get to the island so there is a chance that the weather will be fine when you get there.

Agreed. Like most news organizations, they thrive on "bad" news (weather) stories. I guess there's just not enough bad weather going around ...

growing up in south Florida we never got snow days but we got plenty of hurricane days! yeah baby nothing like sitting at home with the walls shaking!
