Stupid HTML-Kit question

I'm trying HTML-Kit from this thread and the only problem I'm having with it is that every file I open from my ftp appears with blank linebreaks on every even line number, doubling the legnth of the document with blank linebreaks....

anyone know how I can turn this off?
