Stupid HARDware question!

Hey,

How do you take out the entire template metal thing on the back of the case? (The thing with the holes that the motherboards imput output ports go into)

I need to replace that metal template with the one i got with the mother board, since the one on the case is in a different layout then what the motherboard has.

Thanks In Advance

I tried using force, but I dont want to break the case...heh

Got all my parts in today and i cant do anything with it since i cant get that metal i/o template out to put my mobo in!!!!!

crazyinjun

there should be a raised lip around the edge use a sharp knife carefully or a screwdriver if necessary to remove it

some have screws to hold them into place

others are popped in with a little pressure but it should not be that hard to remove

add a picture of the case if new or the brand/model if possible

hope this helps
mike

It should pop out fairly easy. There may also be a lip like Wolfsraider was saying. It will not break your case to pop that thing out. In fact, mine got lost while I was moving without me doing anything to it! Hehe.
