We have one too. There's a spot on top to slip things in, but i's like half an inch thick, tops. You have to have a key to open the door on it to get stuff back out.

It's a mail box tree. He has a key that opens the whole face of the tree.

But anyway... The good news is they busted almost all of them. I guess it was a pretty big group of people that were involved. They managed to steal about $500,000 in just a couple months.
