I am fairly new to ebay and I am going to try and sell a bunch of stuff there. I see in other auctions that people make their auction lok nice. The only thing I can manage to do is put in pictures and write tex that looks like the text in here. How do they leave spaces and make bold and colored text?
Also I am going to be selling about 100 of the same product. Is it better in ebay cost wise to do 100 separate auctions or to do one auction where I am selling a quantity of 100? What are the prices associated? Thanks for any help.

I searched google and found a list of html tags. Where is somewhere I can test these out so that I can see what my auction will look like before I post it. I don't want to list something and then find out that it looks rediculously stupid.

Easiest way is just to create an auction ad in a HTML editor and copy the html code over to were you type the description on ebay. Just use Frontpage or something similar

Type up the entire auction message, with the HTML code, in Notepad. Save the file as auction.htm and then do a file-open-auction.htm in Internet Explorer. This will display the page and show you what it will look like when other people are viewing it. This is assuming you use Windows and IE.

As for the 100 dutch or 100 seperate, it depends on the item. Selling 100 seperate means 100 seperate listing fees and 100 closing fees. It's not cost effective unless they are really popular and you think you will get a lot more money for each by selling seperately.

Example:

100 items sold dutch @ 1.00 = $100 minus 1 listing fee and 1 closing fee

100 items sold seperate @ avg price 1.00 = $100 minus 100 listing fees and 100 closing fees (might lose money here)

100 items sold seperate @ avg price 3.50 = $350 minus 100 listing fees and 100 closing fees (cost effective and makes money)
