I get the fans going, and the light on the motherboard goes on, and the cd-rom lights flicker, but thats it, the led power and busy lights don't do anything, funny thing is it worked fine last night and it shut down fine, but then today it doesn't work the first time i turn it on, my specs are below, i put it back at 800mhz but nothing, no beeps or anything, i was thinking that something is wrong with the cpu but i have no idea how to tell, any ideas on what i can do, thanks

Usually one or more of three things:
1- Ram not seated properly
2- Video card not seated properly
3- CPU not seated properly.
.bh.

This may seem some stupid questions, but it is not...

1) Do you have a cd in your cd machine?
2) Is there a floppy in your a: drive?
3) Are you able to get in your BIOS?

Do you see something when you start your system (such as Asus mobo, pentium XXX, etc.)

cd empty, a drive empty, don't see anything at all, the green power light doesn't come on, the only light that i see is the light on the mb, and the cdrom light flickers, but nothing loads at all

Try this,

But a windows 98 or me floppy disk in a drive and look if your system will boot with that diskette. If it does, it may be your harddrive...

oh shiznit, i just remembered, i was a little tipsy last night and for some reason decided to flash my bios because i just downloaded a new version, gigabyte comes with a sweet utility that makes it really easy, but instead of restarting my computer like it said i just shut it down, and then passed out, i'm thinking thats the problem, so is it a bios problem or did i mess up the whole mb

We have to be very careful when we flash our bios! IF, I say if you got the message saying "Bios flashed successfully", you're in business. However, your system WOULD boot again, unless you have to press "del" function to get in your BIOS first in order to "load BIOS default" and then re-start.

However, if it did not flash successfully, your mobo may be dead... I would then recommend that you bring your mobo to technical support in a computer store to see if it is possible to buy only a BIOS... If you have an Asus mobo, you can order a BIOs through internet...
