Stupid cell phone

I've had my phone for about a year now, and about 3 months after I got it, I noticed a little line in the top right of the screen, I just thought it was a normal scratch. Little while later, there's a scratch right below it, and one just like it on the left side. Then another showed up on the left side, and now I also have two fainter scratches (on the left and ride) one "line" below. Today when I was done making a call, I dropped my phone, and I picked it up at an angle, I noticed, the scratches line up with the fvcking BUTTON EDGES. Everytime I shut the damn thing, the buttons push against the screen, I now have a fvcking second keypad imprinted on my damn screen cover. I'm heading to the Cingular store tomorrow to be a bitch and see if I can get a new cell or at least get the screen cover replaced at their expense. If worst comes to worst, I'll probably just order a new one off cnn.cn and put something in between them to keep them from scratching each other.

So its my fault my cell phone's keypad destroyed the screen? Give me a fscking break.

Is it Cingular's fault that you bought a product without giving it a basic look-over? Obviously you are about 12 years old and have never owned a cell phone, because if you did you'd know this was a drawback of some flip-phones. What do you want the keypad to do? Turn fvcking invisible so it doesn't bother your pansy ass?

If I worked for Cingular and you came into my store ranting and raving about something like that I'd laugh in your face, give you my card, and then kick your ass out.

Jackass, there IS a seperator near the bottom of the keypad, I think mine may have been faulty, cause I know alot of people with v300s, T72xs, v180s, and 2 with V3s and NONE of them have this problem

I find it very hard to believe that the screen is "destroyed". What is much more likely is that you're bitching about some barely noticeable hairline scratches that have precisely zero functional impact on the phone.

Get a life.

Perhaps if your fat ass would quit squishing it the separator might *gasp* separate it. It is well known that any pressure will STILL push the keypad into the LCD.

Zenmervolt, Mill, what bit you in the ass? The scratches make it MORE impossible to read the screen in bright light or sunlight, they're pretty big

You are not taking care of the phone and you want to blame Cingular. Now, if the phone were two days old and just all of a sudden grew scratches while sitting on charge that would be different.

ALL cell phones get scratched and nicked. Just a fact of life.

That's pretty much normal for flippers. They get carried in pockets, ground around, etc. & the buttons inevitably etch the screen.

If it bothers you get some Ice Creme & fix it.

Beyond that? Get over it.

Ok dude, I'm not BLAMING Cingular. I know a guy with a T722i and a guy with a T720c, both of them treat their phones like SH!T, they have scratched the phones in ever imaginable place, but they have no "second keypads". My phone is either in my front pocket, or on my desk, I've never "squished" it.

Exactly where I carry my phone, & exactly what happened to mine.

If it were sitting on your desk all the time it wouldn't have happened.

Plastic flexes, if you carry it like that it's going to flex, bend, & come into contact with the keyboard.

BTW I know the V600 has metal faceplates, but they aren't structural.

Yeah, I think I'm just gonna order a new plastic cover and try and make some form of seperator that doesn't "give" as much as the one on it

You're trying to make them pay for a phone that _you_ damaged, and for damage that easily falls under normal use.

I imagine you trying to get a car dealer to replace your car because you got some stone chips in the paint after a year.

The Ice Creme was a serious suggestion, it will fix it.

I wouldn't try modifying your phone, if you aren't satisified with Ice Creme you can get a new screen. I ordered an entire case for my Samsung S105 (which had quite deep screen etching), with new internal and external screens (not the LCD itself but the clear plastic). Cost me ~$25.
