This is probably the stupidest question, but how do you burn onto a cd-rw? Is there anything different you have to do from burning on a regular cd-r?

I'm asking because I have a cd-rw disc, and I burned some stuff on it a long while back using the directCD drag and drop method. Fast forward to now, and I want to erase some stuff off the disc, and write more stuff to the disc. I can't do it thought (tells me to insert blank disc) and there isn't anything showing up on the disc at all. What do I do?

I have Easy Media Creator 7.0 right now, and there's no mention of directCD or anything. Back then I was using Easy CD Creator 4.0 or 5.0 or 6.0, I can't remember.

there's probably an incompatablility between the different versions. Personally I find the direct CD tool a waste of time as write speeds are slower than burning via the normal way. When everything's working fine, burning to a RW is the same as an R, except that you can later rewrite on an RW as long as you didn't close or finalize the disc. Try reformatting the RW disc... Not sure if this'll work, but go to My Computer, and right click on the drive with the RW disc. Is there an option to reformat? If so, select that and you should be fine, but all information on the disc will be erased... If you need that info, try finding that older version of roxio and try your luck.
