I woke up this morning and start my morning routine of checking my e-mail. What do I see, an order confirmation for my 10-day trial of Slim365? Oh great.

Log into my Citi MC account and see a notice that I should call them up right away about potentially unauthorized activity. Click further and see 3 charges on my account I didn't make:
-IDS*Max Colon in CA (2 of them) for $1 and $5.95
-Google Tree in Nv for $3.88

Call up Citibank, the close my account and I'll be getting a new card, plus a form in the mail which I have highlight the fraudulent charges and mail back.

Hooray for using a CC over ever using my debit card. I still have all my money and the process was, albeit annoying because I'm now inconvenienced, paineless.

The 1$ is a test charge. Once they have confirmation of a valid card they begin ramping up the charges. Thank goodness for credit card protections.

My credit card company called me when they saw suspicious activity. I wasn't spending any more money than usual, but I was buying home furnishing stuff. I guess I don't do that so it got flagged.

Small amount, but they were clearly just sending small charges through for either: testing the card; or only send small charges through in the hopes of people missing them on their statements.

I started using Redbox to rent movies. $1.06 each time. I did this a few times then made a purchase at Newegg for $400. My bank put a freeze on my card. They called me to confirm these purchases were legit and I inquired about why they froze my card and they said it gets flagged when they see small purchases like that followed by a large one.

I like my bank now. :)

to the OP, Since you use citibank, make use of their virtual account number programs. You can either do it on their web page or install a little program on your computer. Ever since my info got taken from a retailer, that is all I use now. It is a fee service, might as well use it. :)

You guys might remember a year or so ago Steam got hacked and some guy posted screen shots of him viewing a ton of people's CC info that Valve was storing (and claimed they weren't storing). I had fraudulent CC charges over the next few days. The only thing I had used the card for was Steam purchases... anyway, the CC took care of things but it's aggravating none the less.

I should. I haven't used my CC at any weird places though, just Amazon, Abebooks, a handful of other legitimate places. The information was probably lost by a credit card processing center. My older brother told me that Citi sent him two new cards and closed his 2 CC accounts at a certain date because of a leak of information from one of those processing centers...

Dude... Me to.
-IDS*Max Colon
-Google Tree
-Cash 866-913-0781
-DRI*8772714199.....
And few others for about $150 total. I have been getting vitamins in the mail for a few days. Chase stopped it before real damage could be done.
PM me so we can see of we have a common online purchase.

EDIT: I see you made a purchase at Amazon. That is the only online purchase I made for weeks. I suspected them because I have received a few call on my cell about the purchases
and the only place that would have my cell # and CC info was Amazon.
Anyone else have CC issues with Amazon?
