It's a nursing reflex - it may have been sepatated from the mother too early.
Some cats, especially Siamese need to stay with the mother
until 12 - 16 weeks or this happens.

Does it look like the eyes get 'glassy' when it's doing that?
If it looks goofy - it's because it is.

Hmm maybe, she does happen to be Siamese. I don't recall how long she had with her mother before I got her though. It was from a vet so I would assume she knew the right time.

Guess she's probably just being goofy though, she's usually in attack mode when she does this. I'll see if I can find that bitter apple stuff. Where woudl that be sold, is that a vet specific item or is that something I'd find at walmart?

Watch and see if she will knead while she's nipping her tail.
Gets the paws moving like alternating pushing from side to side.

Seriously? No one suggested spraying her with water :S

Buy a sprayer or a water gun, whenever it starts doing it, spray her, but make sure she does not see you doing it. If she does not see where the water is coming, she will associate biting her tail with getting wet, if she does catch you doing it she will not do the bad habit while you are around.

She's way past that stage, used to do that to her as a kitten when she was doing something bad. :awe: She likes water now lol.

I usually just clap my hands hard and say "NO" and she listens. Looking at it, it seems she's only biting the fur though, hard to tell. At one point she did rip a huge chunk of, it was actually kind of funny because the end of her tail was all square lol. Maybe it's not a big deal and I'm overreacting, but I'm just scared she'll end up hurting herself.
