Stupid Cal Poly SLO housing server

The applications opened up at 8 this morning and it feels like it is slashdotted. The server is already completely swamped and I can't get anywhere. Gah I need a freaking dorm room!!! You'd think they'd know this would happen and prepare for it by getting more bandwidth/servers.

Success!!! I've never been so happy about spending 1800 dollars.

Dude...housing is a BITCH at SLO if you want it on campus. I just went and lived off campus at Stenner Glen. GL you guys.

Yeah I got the internal server error twice now. The my.calpoly.edu site is completely swamped too not just the housing server. I'm glad I got in a bit early and was able to login.

Do they have a phone service type thing as well? During registration for classes people would clog up the online service but the phone service was almost empty - was the only way to get through to get what you wanted. (This was at UTexas)

I'm not sure, I'll take a look but sadly I don't think I'll be able to find out because the site is so broken at the moment I can't get anywhere.

Its been that way since before i was a freshman there in 99. Just deal, overcrowded housing is part of the cal poly experience. Be glad you're there, i thought housing was expensive there till i got a job here in Santa Barbara. I miss the cheaper housing in SLO now! haha

BTW, have fun. I miss that city. I lived in Cedar Creek for a couple years till the security nazis clamped down on partying there. It was THE party spot.
