Hi, i'm a begginer with this computer stuff
i got my computer from a friend, and i'm tryin to find out what kind of motherboard i have so i can download a bios upgrade.

where do i look to find out what kind of motherboard i got and what company makes it???

PLEASE HELP< THIS IS SERIOUS!!!!!!

When you turn the computer on, one of the first things you'll see is the manufacturer and model of m/b. The bios revision # should also appear. Also, check to see which key (usually DEL) to hit in order to enter bios. Once in there you can take your time to roam around and see what's what! 😀

if when you boot you dont have the time you need to read all that info hit the pause key and it will stop your boot on that page and you can read it!

What Wuming said... theres a "mainboard" module on sisoft thats pretty accurate and tells you the make and model, usually even the bios that your board is running...
