So, last tuesday my paycheck (about $1000) was directly deposited into my account, like it is every other tuesday. My checking account was showing a balance of about $2000.
I went to the bank, talked to a teller, and transferred $1200 to another account, and was left with a balance of just about $800.
So, today I look at my account online, and it lists the withdrawal as occuring before the deposit. This makes the $1200 dollar withdrawl overdraft my account by $200. I made two other purchases later in the day. I bought lunch for $6, and spent $30 on groceries, and these also show as overdrafts.
No overdraft charges have shown up in my account, but I guess I can expect that they will, right? I don't want to be charged $60+ in overdraft fees due to the bank being moronic fvckheads.
What should I do? Go to the bank and dispute it now? Wait and see if overdraft fees actually show up on my account and then dispute it? Any advice from those who are good at this kind of thing?
Thanks.
