🙂 please enlighten me.

1) In this link, towards the middle of the page, where u can see the
US supporters of the war...on page 2, Denmark will send submarine...and a corvette?...i'm stupid but why a car?

2) Is there a world tally, number vs number, supporters vs non-supporters?...like 20 support vs 30 don't support the US? On the same note, how many countries are 'allowed' to vote?...or be counted?...i mean, do small countries have no say?...like say, singapore?

3) I thought the whole deal was to kill saddam?...maybe i'm wrong i guess..coz i tot the deal was to kill him?...so why give him 48hrs to escape so he could do evil elsewhere? I hope we're not giving binLaden 48hrs when we find him...

4) How come Australia is like soooOO buddy-buddy with the US?...i never heard of them being homies with us 😀 On the same note, why is UK so homie-like with US too?

5) How come the stats say 80-100 Billion dollars for the war?...wtf?...i mean ur just feeding the soldiers on dry crap...plus sundries...gas...ammunition...etc...and if the war ends in a weekend...what the heck are they spending 100billion on?

...erm, thats it for now. 😀

1. not a clue

2. heard on the news today that Powell had said that 15 countries have showed their support, he did not say what countries though. That is of total 200 or something countries in the world. Vote if you mean the security council then there are 15, 5 permanent members, US, France, UK, Russia and China, then there are 10 other countries in the council. Those seats are rotated each... some years. There are only two countries in the world where the majority of the population support war, the US and Israel.

3. The deal is to disarm Iraq and now remove Saddam from power

4. Because of the blast in Indonesia where Al Queda was involved. Afghanistan was over so they want some action I guess.

5. stuff and those bombs are reeeaaly expensive

1.) the corvette is there for the guy who shoots the one millionth round of ammunition.

2.) /shrug

3.) maybe they'll raffle off the corvette to the guy who bags him? Maybe they'll throw in the sub if they do it with the millionth round.

4.) They want to teach us how to speak english methinks

5.) The only one I really know the answer to. Bombs aren't cheap, carriers aren't cheap, ammunition isn't cheap, aircraft aren't cheap, plus all these people have to be paid. I think during Bush Srs. trip to the middle east estimates to keep one carrier operational over there was in the way of millions of dollars per day. bombs costs tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars a piece apparently. Aircraft fuel is costly. Carrier landings are costly as well, causing a great deal of stress on the machinery which must be maintained. Plus, if we lose so much as one aircraft, there goes millions of dollars right there. we lose one soldier, that costs us what it took to train him. One tank, another million or so it seems. Plus our troops aren't outfitted with slings and rocks, weapons cost $$ too. bottom line, war is exceedingly, almost disgustingly, expensive. I think the only thing that would cost more than full scale war nowadays would be resurrecting star wars...and that was just obscene.
