Stupid AIM 'virus', any help?

My GF recently got an IM from someone that included a link, and in this link, it automatically asks you to download a .com file but disguised as some type of picture viewer. Once it's installed, it sends that link to everyone who IMs you (it's automated pretty much). Has anyone ever gotten this? It sent the link to me and I clicked on it, but I wasn't about to DL that file. Oh, and the link says something like "Hey, I wanted to show you this:" and it's a http link to an IP. Any idea what this is?
