Many of you guys know me from the last few years of exclusively posting on P&N; that's right all but maybe 10 posts were right here with you guys. I originally started reading P&N to try to understand the American mindset of supporting Bush as President with what I thought were fully reckless policies. Slowly I began posting, usually coming off as a naive Canadian come to intrude the American political discussions (maybe i still do, hehe). I remember the first post I made; Ozoned told me in effect (this is much more mild) to leave as there were enough liberals here, I then made my first thread b!tching out the unwelcoming of the experienced member. The replies i received were more than accepting and as a result continued to post here on P&N.

I think many of you here have recognized my posts and have formed judgements and opinions; I get PM's from people, the other day alchemise accused me of being Liberal, and Steeplerot instantly responded to say that I was a Conservative. So I know that I am recognized by at least a few of you.

So my question is...Do you guys think I would be well suited for politics in the future? I really don't have many friends who discuss politics, I turn to P&N for that...so I figured you guys would be the best judge of this. (even though i realize a forum is not the best way to determine this)

Feel free to post good and bad traits (this may be asking for some ghosts from the past), why I should or shouldn't run for politics sometime down the road and where you guys see me best suited (municipal, provincial, federal, even location if you'd like..Canada, US, State?).

Well, you are a Canadian conservative you said yourself once or twice I am sure.....I was not trying to pigeonhole you....

In Al's political scope you are probaly a commie to him though...

Go for it, I myself have plans to run for City Council when I turn 35. You seem to be honest and use your head.
Well, until you start agreeing with those neocons ;) /jk

You seem perceptive enough and you talk very smooth. If you can talk and think on your feet as well as you do here, then I think it would be worth a try. It taks a long time and a lot of working behind the scenes for most people to get a chance at a federal or state level, so if your in a hurry go for the municipal position and start making contacts.

If your heart and mind are in it, then it's what you ought to be doing, I suppose. I guess the thing about p&n is you get to express your own opinions on every issue; if you were affiliated with a particular party, you might need to hold your tongue and adhere to the party line on certain issues. Do they have political internships in Canada?

Are you charismatic?
Can you tell a good lie?
Are you good at making friends?
Can you think quick?

If so, then you might make a good politician.
